Twenty-five years, the kid with the one glove was riding high. Court cases, innuendo and downright creepiness can’t take away the awesomeness that was Thriller.
Come on, we all had a copy of the album. On cassette or actual vinyl. And I’m willing to bet that a good number of us have it on CD or digitally. We know at least part of the zombie dance. And if you don’t remember it, refresh your memory with the inmates at the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center. Another YouTube video you’ve already seen but can enjoy again and again.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Thriller, Legacy Recordings put together Thrillercast. It’s celebrities (Imogen Heap, will.i.am, Quincy Jones) talking about their memories of Thriller and its influence on the industry. Check it out. The site’s worth a visit if only to see the zombies vomit up links when you mouse over their faces.

Megan- your turn on the dance floor in your wedding dress for Thriller is one of my fondest memories of the boat.

The Jermaine song is scary on so many levels. Let’s start with the fact that someone made a tribute video to him.

Yes, but do have you ever heard Jermaine Jackson’s rip off of this song? It’s called “Escape from the Planet of the Ant Men.” Check it out:
