Why Not an iPad?

I decided to take the plunge into e-readers.

I’ll be honest – I don’t know how I feel about it yet, and since everyone I know has heard the same pro and con arguments (convenience, travel light, the feel of a book in your hands, shelves, blah blah blah), no need to rehash them here more than I just did.

The obvious choice for me should have been an iPad. It’s got the iBooks app, which I like on my phone to read free first chapters. It could have the Kindle app – best of both worlds.

Apps, Apps and More Apps

I love my iPhone. I love that this one little machine lets me make phone calls, watch movies, listen to music, surf the net, take pictures, tweet and generally kill time when I’m bored.

So, what apps do I have on my phone that I cherish? My two favorites are Texas Hold’em and Shazam.

I ask because mine is telling me to buy, buy, buy these strangely alluring Star Wars flash drives.

Looks like series 1 has sold out. Boba Fett may win my alliance. After all, his helmet cap reveals his human face.

God, I’m such a geek. But they could be incredibly useful. And they come in 1, 2, 4 and 8 GB capacity.

O beauteous grill. How I love thee. And loathe thee all at the same time.

I used to have a grill. I used it often. Until bees took up residence in it and the gas ran out. It was old and accepted its fate during the slow walk to the curb. “Dead grill walking!” went up the cry from the neighborhood grills, bug zappers and other outdoor appliances.
