Hip hip hooray. It’s April, which means it’s Poetry Month again. More details on the month-long celebration of poetry can be found in my 2011 post on the subject. The Poetry Month page has everything I put up last year and, come May 1, will have what I post this year.
Once again, I started off with William Stafford. He’s one of my favorite poets, and it seemed especially appropriate to open with one of his poems in honor of Tom Dwyer. Dr. Dwyer introduced me to Stafford in a modern poetry college class. He died last month so this year’s Small Pond poetry collection is dedicated to him as an insufficient thank you for introducing me to so many great poems.
